Father and Mother lived on the
edge of poverty, and yet their contentment was not dependent upon their
surroundings. Their relationship to each other and to the Lord gave them
strength and happiness.
God is
our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Lord Jesus, with You close, what
else do we really need? With Your love, we have the best; without Your love, we
are truly poor, whatever our circumstances.
