God Himself is the dynamite of all His demands. God always supplies the power to do all that He requires. We will see more and more that we are chosen not because of our ability but because of His power, which will be demonstrated in our not being able. Jesus was, is, and will be Victor and He is willing to make you and me more than conquerors.

Thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumph, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere.
2 Corinthians 2:14

Thank You, Lord, for the tremendous reality of Your victory over the problems of today and the problems of tomorrow.

There were three times in my life when prison locks were closed behind me. It was very difficult. Many of us experience locks closed behind us at times when we have almost insurmountable problems. I learned, and you will learn, that that means a difficult class in life’s school. But you can learn much, especially when the teacher is able. My teacher was the Lord, and He is willing to be yours.

Show me Your ways, O Lord: teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth, and teach me: for You are the God of my salvation; on You do I wait all the day.
See Psalms 25:4-5 KJV

We are Your willing pupils, Lord. The classroom is of Your choosing, the lessons only part of Your plan for us. Thank You that Your Holy Spirit teaches us how to be willing to study in Your school.

When I was a teenager, my father asked me to visit the women in prison in our town. I would not do it because I was so afraid of prisons! Now, since I have been in prison myself, I have no fear. I even like to speak with prisoners because I know how it feels to be behind a door that can only be opened from the outside. But I also know that with Jesus the worst can happen, the best remains, and His light is stronger than the deepest darkness.

Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them: and those who are ill-treated, since we also are in the body.
Hebrews 13:3

Lord, thank You that You do not give us a spirit of fear but of power, of love, and a sound mind!

People who pray for a revival in the world are truly doing God’s work. But in order for a revival to come, there must also be people who are willing to throw themselves totally into the cause of the Gospel.

O Holy Spirit, revival comes from Thee
send a revival, start the work in me
Thy Word declares Thou wilt supply our need
for blessings now, O Lord, I humbly plead
—J. Edwin Orr

. . . serving the Lord and not men.
Colossians 3:23

Lord, whatever You choose for me to do. give use the faith and power to do it with all my heart.

A lady planned a house meeting, although her brother did not believe it would be successful. The next day she proudly told him her room had been filled with women. The next week she reported that her room had been fuller still, and the third week even fuller.

“Impossible!” her brother said, “When a room is full, it cannot be fuller still.” “Yes,” she smiled, “but every week I took out more of my furniture!”

You can be filled with the Holy Spirit, and be still more filled. Perhaps some furniture must be moved out of your heart.

. . .that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts.
Ephesians 3:17 LB

Lord, show me if You need more room in my heart for Your Holy Spirit. It is a joy to remove that which could stand in the way.

We need to learn not only to be filled with the Holy Spirit but also to stay filled. We do this by becoming sensitive to His work within us. We need to know that the secret of walking in the Spirit is to immediately confess our sins and, by faith, to ask God to refill us.

. . . how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy spirit to those who ask him!
Luke 11:13

Thank You, Lord, that You have told us, “Be filled with My Spirit.” Give us the knowledge that by obeying that command we can live victoriously, to Your honor.
