“Your will be done,” is not an expression of resignation but of resolution. It is active, not passive. The secret of Jesus’ obedience was that He loved God. A child who loves its parents wants to obey them because he or she knows that it gives them joy.

Our Father, who art in heaven

Hallowed be thy name

Thy kingdom come

Thy will be done

On earth as it is in heaven

                                Matthew 6:9

Lord, I surrender my will to You. Where it is difficult for me, I pray that You will make me wiling to be made willing to do Your will.
